Semi-Automatic Military Ribbon Assembly Machine

Although our customer's cost analysis showed a fully automatic machine to have a 10 month payback, PE Corp. suggested a much less expensive semi-automatic approach with a 5 month payback. An operator is required to load the 3 components, but this is a low skill low technology, low wage environment.

Features include:

Unique vertical actuating tooling with 2 separate function nests on a powered linear slide.

Simple relay logic in lieu of a PLC to match the ability of the "maintenance man."

Low force actuation of accessible parts to make pinch type injury impossible. (High force parts are completely guarded.)
