Pump Motor Mount Welding Fixture

This single set of adjustable fixturing accommodates a full family of 26 different pump/motor bases. The design resulted in both improved assembly accuracy and labor savings. 4 of these universal fixtures were eventually ordered.

The use of the pump/motor centerline for all alignment considerably reduced part to part variation.

The use of a proprietary weld splatter resistant material reduced maintenance while improving fixture life.

The use of adjustable clamps and the elimination of more than 100 pieces of specialized fixturing simplified setup and use. And the elimination of all operator in-process measurements significantly reduced assembly labor
