Unique safety guarding utilizing clear Lexan "guillotine" type
door blocking operator access to the assembly machines once parts are
loaded. The door is operated by a small door exerting only 2 pounds of
force, so no pinch point exists. The machine will not cycle unless the door
is fully closed, and forcing the door open will abort the cycle. Our
approach to guarding eliminates the need for dual palm buttons while freeing
the operator for other tasks.
